Miss Haiti 2014

Miami FL – Kreyòl Essence (KE), a luxury beauty company with a social mission, today announced a new partnership with the unparalleled Miss Haiti 2014 and entrepreneur, Carolyn Desert.  Desert will serve as a KE spokesperson, and the company will officially sponsor Desert in her bid to win the Miss World competition, which will take place in London, in mid-December.

Desert has won the hearts of people worldwide for her unmatched combination of natural beauty, business savvy and social consciousness. She won most photogenic, and received a standing ovation when she won her title earlier this year. She demonstrated her uniqueness by focusing on youth, women, and the poor in her acceptance speech.

We are honored to embark on this exciting new journey with Ms. Desert,” said Yve-Car Momperousse, CEO & Founder of Kreyòl Essence. “Innovation, confidence, and a desire to help people all come as naturally to her as her beauty.  She is the quintessential KE customer.”

Kreyòl Essence’s luxury beauty lines are made with the natural ingredients I need to feel flawless,” said Carolyn Desert, Miss Haiti 2014. The products are also made in Haiti, supplying much-needed jobs to local farmers and women. It is a pleasure to be partnering with such committed advocates of the beauty of my country.”

KE is an agribusiness that brings natural and organic hair, skin, and body products from Haiti to the world. The signature product is Haitian Black castor oil, which is known for growing and thickening hair, controlling hair frizz, and reducing scars and muscle aches.

KE currently employs over 50 farmers and women in Haiti to produce the unique line and is poised to hire 300 people in the next few years as part of the company’s social impact mission. By farming and planting castor beans, KE is also helping the country with deforestation, soil erosion, and greenhouse gas emission. Investors and partners include global development leaders such as YUNUS Social Business, the Inter-American Development Bank, and USAID.
