Be Proud Of Your Crown

#BlackHairStory

Who can recall spending hours as a child sitting on the floor between a loved
one’s legs as your hair was carefully interlaced?

Braids are more than aesthetics. They bind us together.
They are an integral part of Black culture—past, present and future.
The origin of braids can be traced back 5000 years
in African culture to 3500 BC.

Braids are a hairstyle used for kinkier textures as a form of protective
styling—not just for fashion. Wearing braids protect natural hair from heat
damage and humidity.
